Addiction affects the whole family. Even if your loved one is struggling to heal, you still can.
Most loved ones find themselves struggling to understand addiction, the difficulties of gettimg sober and/or the process of recovery.
You can find the answers to those questions here! Through our online psychoeducation courses you can learn how to better understand addiction, the options for recovery and how to better take care of yourself through a loved ones addiction. The two of us have spent our careers helping people through recovery. However, Living Within Sanity was founded to provide a safe place for people to find the answers they need about thier loved ones alcoholism and/or addiction.
Not sure if you are in the right place?
Here are some of the reasons withinSanity courses may be right for you:
-First and foremost, if someone you love is suffering with alcoholism and/or addiction
-Your loved one recently became sober but your relationship is still struggling
-You want to learn how to support a loved one through sobriety
-If you are an adult child of an alcoholic and believe your childhood is still negatively impacting you
-You have tried Al-Anon but did not think it was a good fit for you
-Currently attend Al-Anon but are looking for more education about your loved one’s addiction
-Don’t know if you want to yet try Al-Anon and want to learn more about 12 step programs
-If your loved one is attending a 12 step program and you don’t feel like you understand what that is.
-If your loved one is or has been in treatment and you feel you need to better understand what treatment is, what happens in treatment, what treatment goals look like and/or what it means to be in recovery.
-If you believe your loved one is not ready for change but you need to learn to take better care of yourself while they are still struggling
-If you desperately want to understand why love is not enough for them to quit
-Or maybe because of all of the above
